I was given the opportunity to help oversee the makeover winners and the generous local shops that donated some fantastic prizes to the winners. Then I had the honor of capturing these beautiful winners of the Makeover Contest in their very own fine art Gioia Photography portraits. Mary was our first winner. I hope she doesn't mind me telling that she is a bit over 70! Doesn't she look beautiful! She had such a sweet personality. Just like a really nice grandma...except she just didn't look old enough to be one!
Our second winner was Linda. She was visiting the Cocoa area and I would venture to say she was thrilled with the treatment she received here! Doesn't she look so happy, beautiful and confident. She was such a fun person. It's so great when really nice and deserving people win!
Each one of the winners received gifts from various local shops. Island Escape Spa started them out by giving them a much needed chair massage. Then they skipped over to Complexions Skin Care carlyeallison@cfl.rr.com where Carlye gave them a microdermabrasion treatment...after their skin was oh so smooth...it was off to get soft with Arbonne International for some luxurious lotions. Their eyes were made even brighter by the Eye Bright treatment they received from the Skin Connection. Macy's, Joy then provided the beautiful makeup. Looking so good now, they finished up with hair by Brent Allan. Then it was time for their first portrait session with Gioia Photography, while they modeled the easy and fun clothing provided by Weekenders. Last but very certainly not least...They each donned beautiful couture gowns from the collection of clothier Miss Kay Florida (321-638-3908). Finally their last portrait session with their gowns on...and then the reveal to all in attendance...They also reeived prizes from Silk Toppers by Jan, Curves, Metabolic Research, Brevard County Woman Newspaper where they will receive their 15 minutes of fame in a feature article and one caregiver winner who couldn't particpate won a house cleaning! We all could use that...from Stephanie at All One Family Senior Day Care. whew...just typing that reminds me of how exhilerating...and full the day was...Hope to see you all there next year...And don't forget to enter the makeover contest!
